A Brief History of Small Box
With the goal of elevating the Web one site at a time, long-time friends and co-workers Jeb Banner and Joe Downey established Small Box Web Design in January, 2006. As the “idea guy,” Jeb infuses his forward-thinking vision into every project. Joe is the company’s computer guru, with extensive experience in the latest technologies for the Web.
Small Box landed its first client — NUVO Newsweekly — in February 2006, and the company was on its way. In June of that year, PJ Christie came on board, bringing years of Web master experience as well as business and project management skills to the team. In August 2007 Ben Jehring was added to the mix to help Small Box meet the growing demand for Internet Marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click services. Small Box continued to expand its web design and development capacity with the acquisition of Jack Shepler in September 2007, and Lydia Whitehead in February 2008.
Together, they've developed a company capable of much more than an attractive Website design or “back-end” functionality. They've created a firm that combines technical expertise with business acumen — a company that understands how the Web works and how to put the Web to work for each client.
