Challenge

Indy Acupuncture wanted to generate business through Google and other popular search engines by listing well on localized searches for their acupuncture, acupressure, Chinese medicine and holistic healing services. For many of these searches the site was already indexed and listed in Google, but the search engine rankings were poor. Indy Acupressure wanted to be on page one.

Solution

We performed a basic SEO research and analysis and identified the most valuable localized searches. We then applied our proprietary nine-step optimization process to their website modifying their code and content to target the keywords identified in the initial research. Implementation of the nine-step search engine optimization process was completed by August 31, 2007.

Results

Ten high value search phrases were identified in the initial research and were targeted by the nine-step search engine optimization process. Before the nine-step process was implemented the website or appeared on page three or lower for all but one of the targeted search phrases. Following the nine-step SEO implementation the site's rankings steadily improved until the site appeared on page one for all ten searches. The results are summarized in the table below.

Indy Acupuncture enjoyed a roughly 30% increase in traffic following the site's optimization for search engines. This was solely the result of improved search engine ranknigs. Traffic to the site from search engines more than doubled, while traffic from all other sources either remained relatively steady or decreased. Indy Acupuncutre's initial investment in search engine optimization continues to pay dividends as the site remains positioned on page one for targeted search queries that send well qualified visitors to their site who are interested in the services Indy Acupuncture offers.
