Managed exclusively by Indiana School of Medicine students, Rock for Riley is an annual concert that features national music acts, performing to huge local audiences. Challenge
Rock for Riley approached Small Box in 2006 to examine and analyze its site. The current Web site was not well-designed and did not include a lot of the multimedia functionality the organization needed, including the capability for visitors to listen to previous concerts and featured bands.Solution
Small Box considered polishing the current site, but in the end, designing a completely new site was both more efficient and cost-effective. Rock for Riley is an example of Small Box designing a site from scratch, including the development of site architecture, graphic design, programming and implementation. The site includes multimedia (video and audio) functionality, photo galleries, calendars, maps and sponsors, as well as donor solicitation and an online store for related purchases. In addition, Small Box customized their proprietary Content Management System, so the client can easily and quickly upload MP3s, create events, add sponsors and make additional changes to keep the site updated.Results
